My Very First Completely Finished Quilt!

I began a baby quilt about a year and a half ago for Sheridan before she was even born. She received many blankets and quilts as gifts when she was born and I eventually lost hope of ever finishing my quilt since I figured she'd never use it.

However, in an effort to become a more diligent "finisher of unfinished projects", I completed the small baby quilt (32'' x 32'') today! As my very first finished quilt, it certainly isn't perfect (don't look too closely!), but I'm still very pleased with the way it turned out.
Since Sheridan is now a big 1.5 year old and has plenty of her own quilts and blankets, I decided I would finish it for my first baby girl (whom shall indefinitely remain nameless since my family enjoys using my favorite baby girl names as our cows' names so they don't end up as their granddaughter/niece-- which, I might add, did work, because now whenever I think of the name "Sadie", I think of the cow and not my first baby girl's name!). Now my new baby quilt is safely stored in my hope chest for one day, Lord willing, my first little girl!! :)

Hey that is really neat about the quilt :) I haven't really started putting stuff aside for my children yet...need to get going on that :)
Aww...I love the name Sadie! But that is pretty funny about the cows :-p My top 3 girl names (only one middle name so far) are:
~Alycia Lee
~Miriam
Ketsia

I like different names :) Blessings on your day :)

P.S. I noticed you've read the book "Do Hard Things"...I just heard about this book from our friend at church and I really want to read it. Did you like it?!

It is so beautiful Meredith!! I love the colors! I think it is so funny that the family loves all your baby names and they go to the animals! I love thinking of baby names or even animal names!!
