I was so blessed to get the rare treat of spending several hours chatting with Mama as we drove to NC and back earlier this week. We rarely get to talk for hours- just the two of us- so I always look forward to our "driving time" and am so encouraged and challenged by her words!
One of the many things we discussed was this blog and ways I could be more purposeful in my blogging. As I've been considering this over the past couple days, I have decided I would like to ask you- the readers- to please share your thoughts. Now, you've proven yourself to comment plenty when there is a giveaway or when I announce my false engagement (haha), so please don't be shy! The following are the topics I occasionally discuss in my blogging. I would greatly appreciate knowing what topics you would like to read more or less about:
**Daily happenings with family
**Entrepreneurial endeavors/business ideas/my family's businesses and my own business ventures
**Farm life
**Thoughts and my convictions on popular issues/things God is teaching me
**Cooking/baking/recipes/sewing projects/other domestic things :)
**"Life Update" entries
**"A Day In My Life" entries/thoughts on being an at-home daughter
**Book Reviews
**Thoughts on courtship/waiting on the Lord/marriage
**Entries written by my mom in the spirit of Titus 2
**Anything else?!?!?!?
I'm eager to read your feedback!

Dearest Meredith,
Did you know that your blog was one of the first that I ever read? I RSS subscribed one year ago this month and through all this past years posts I can't say there is anything you wrote about that I haven't enjoyed reading :) My favorite posts have been about what you do on the Farm or in your business endeavors, Josh loved the short video especially! I also love it when your Mom writes and even when you completely caught me off guard with the "engagement announcement" - cheeky girl :)
Anything and everything - all your posts have been an encouragement in someway - even if its just to know that there are others out there with the same goals and the same struggles.
God bless you and your family,
Laura
I agree with LauraW in that there hasn't been a post that I didn't enjoy. But my favorite posts are usually the ones about daily happenings, farm life, life updates, and a day in your life... basically, the more it has to do with you and your family, the better :P But then I also love hearing your opinions on anything and everything. And something from your mama always speaks to me.
Meredith,
I love reading about your life on the farm and the "day in my life" posts. They are always so interesting to read. But of course, anything you write is enjoyable to read.
I am thankful for your blog and for all the encouragement you always give!
I would think that what most people want to hear is about the life of someone else--especially someone with the same convictions. I always find when someone puts out a book on their life story I snatch it up and read it looking for lessons or just similarities! Sometimes I find by the end of these readings I find myself asking more questions and when they publish another I grab that hoping for more insight--especially if they are someone I admire!
All that to say, I think the post of normal goings on at home and post from your mom are the most interesting reads. We like when you share daily happenings be they good or bad. Mistakes are good (though humbling) to share as we all relate to them. I think the most interesting blogs or book are those that are willing to share good and bad (though we all know there are some struggles we can not share).
I hope that makes sense????

I really enjoy everything that you post, but I agree with the others in that the most interesting posts are those about your daily life. I especially like to read abot your latest projects, but truthfully, every post has been wonderful!
All of the above? lol I especially like craft/recipes entries, and also your thoughts on courtship, being a stay-at-home daughter, ect. i continue to pray i'll one day be blessed with a daughter, and i would love to raise her in this way, and i feel that hearing it from someone who is raised that way is the best point of view. :)
All of those topics sound wonderful to me! :) Have a Happy Easter my dear!
Hey Meredith!
I also enjoy everything that you write (*grin*), but especially enjoy hearing about your daily life....People you bless, how you touched them, projects you are working on, books you are reading, your friends and siblings, your thoughts and journey regarding courtship and marriage, how you help your mother so much everyday... all in a daily bases. IF you are looking for new ideas, I would love to hear about how you respond to "diffcult" people (or people whose actions don't at all follow their beliefs) in a Christ-like way. :D
Everything you write is always very interesting and so encouraging and I love learning how to become a better daughter/young lady/future wife from your blog!
Elise
All of the ABOVE!!! I love reading all your topics. And I loved hearing from your mom :)
A family like yours is rare in this world we live in. All of us need reminders and encouragement on how a godly family looks like. Reading your blog gives me a taste of that. And it greatly encourages me :)
Thanks for your sharing and the time you put into it!
Meredith,
I really enjoy the first three things A LOT! all of the other things too, of course, but especially the first 3. I also love reading about recipes people have tested and liked and a day in my life entries. And thoughts on courtship and marriage.
Okay, basically, I like all of the things you've written out.
Sorry I'm no help! haha
To be totally honest... I'm not into sports at all, so I do skip over the parts about the games etc, but apart from that I'm always keen to read your blogs no matter what else they are about! Your farm life there is my dream, so I always find it fascinating, and I am entrepreneurial gal too, so I like reading about those kinds of things, and I love hearing about your family, and I love hearing about your projects and Bible studies etc, and I really enjoy your thoughts on issues like courtship and I love reading the entries by your mom... yes... I love reading pretty much all your blogs! Keep it up! :) Even if I don't always comment, you can be sure I'm always here reading!
maybe I'm different from your other readers. I'm not an 'at home daughter' or homeschooled... in fact we are very different. i went to a public school, i moved out of home when i was 17 (5 years ago now), i live in the city, i rent and work and study, i'm not even sure i want to get married because i feel so called and mostly fulfilled in full-time ministry to at-risk girls.
what i enjoy is your love for the Lord and maybe that is all i share in common with you. that you stand by your convictions, you want your life to count for God and you desire to serve Him in all aspects of your life.... and that i totally do understand and i have in common with you.
i like reading about what God is doing in your life and how He is shaping for the good works He has prepared in you.
Well Meredith,
All the topics you listed are of great interest to me!! It's wonderful to see the crafts, home things, farm stuff, and book reviews. Keep up the good work!! Your blog is of such great comfort to me!! I love to read it, as it is so spiritually encouraging. I just had to let you know that!! I wouldn't really change anything, you do such a great job.
Keep up the posts!!
Sarah
Meredith,
I agree with most everyone else.
I've enjoyed your blog since September of last year and honestly there is nothing that I haven't liked. It's nice to see that there are other people out there with the same convictions as my family.
Truth be told there is nothing there that I wouldn't love to read about. I love seeing how other people run their farm, live their life and how young woman live at home with their family and enjoy it!
So, anything you have to say will be wonderful! :D
Hello Meredith,
I must admit that I stumbled upon your blog accidentally...I was searching for children's Revolutionary War costumes when I came across the image of your brothers in costume. Your blog has truly been an encouragement and blessing to me! While I also love reading all your posts, I am especially interested in homeschooling (what curriculum does your family use?), farm life, entrepreneurial endeavors, and your family. Mind you, I am still very new to your blog and am slowly trying to get through older posts. I praise God that he has put this ministry on your heart!
Sincerely, Sarah S.

I was so blessed by your encouragement! I treasure so much of what you said, and have a fresh vision for this blog and hope to focus my attention on the direction I feel led~
Truly, all of your comments-- every single one-- blessed me so much! Thank YOU for taking the time to read my thoughts!
Sarah S., thank you for visiting and leaving a comment! For our homeschool curriculum, we use quite a variety. We primarily use Bob Jones, Saxon, and ATI. We get a lot of the higher grade schooling over the internet and satellite since my mom doesn't want to "re-learn" high school level classes (Algebra, Spanish, etc.). Do you have a blog?
Thank you so much for your response to my question.:) I do not have a blog established yet, but you have truly inspired us! My daughter and I are in the process of setting up a blog share our homeschool and country living experience with long distance friends and family. I will be sure to link up once it is ready! God Bless...
My favorite things on your blog are day to day life, your sewing projects and one of my very favorite, the farm. But there has'nt been anything that I did not ejoy reading. God bless! Kelsey B.
I love all of the above, Meredith! You inspire me so much with your posts. Keep up the wonderful work, girl! :)
