Lilly

Lilly and her mama, Lemon, just hours after Lilly was born: Today we had another heifer calf born on our farm! Lilly is the 8th heifer calf born here in the past 18 months, which is a huge blessing for our small dairy farm.

Love the name!! And now for something totally unrelated to cows...
I was looking back at some old posts of yours and I came across a entry that mentioned you and Elliot went laptop shopping on Black Friday of '08. I've been thinking about purchasing one, since I'm be in high school this year and writing alot more. I'd love Elliot's opinion on it all; what sort of computer is best for running writing programs and has a long battery life, stuff like that! Send me a email and I'll tell you exactly what I'm looking for. Seems to me you mentioned in that post Elliot was something of a computer person, so I thought he'd be a good person to ask!! :-) I'm clueless on things like this...
Thanks, Meredith!!

Abigail, yes, she is. :) The next two are due in September, then two more in November, two more in January, I think one in February, and then probably one in April, although she isn't confirmed pregnant yet. I hope your cheesecake turns out (seriously;)!

Sarah-Anne,

You may want to check Consumer Reports online. Elliott says he really doesn't know because he's never studied different laptops. He just knows how to fix our computers when they break. All we knew about my laptop before I bought it is that it was a good deal. :) Good luck!

Hi Meredith,
Lilly is sooo cute. She reminds me of Aaron's calf Amber out of one of his Jersey cows. Amber is a month old now though, so she is a little bigger than Lilly:-)
Enjoy your day.
Blessings,
Laura

Thanks for the info, Meredith. I guess I know who to call if my not-yet-purchased laptop messes up on me; Elliot!! I'm hoping to find a good deal on one, too. Mostly because I don't have THAT much money burning a hole in my pocket. In fact, I don't really even have any in my pocket right now...

How sweet! A friend told us about a person who brought a calf home in the passenger seat of his pick-up truck! I would have liked to see that! I hope you have a blessed and productive day!
