For the few that guessed about the picture from my last post; yes, we did go on a very wonderful, overnight trip to the beach! We packed an entire week's worth of fun (and pictures!) into our jaunt and I look forward to sorting through the pictures and writing a long blog entry soon.

In the mean time though, I thought I would share pictures of my latest sewing project: matching sundresses for Sheridan and me. I had originally bought the fabric thinking that the navy blue and white polka dot pattern looked very nautical, so I was so happy to finish the dresses right in time to wear at the beach!

I always begin sewing projects with excitement, but when it comes to following patterns, I tend to end up on the verge of tears from total discouragement! However, this time was different and I am so thankful that making both of these dresses was a very pleasant and surprisingly easy experience. I don't know if I'm just finally getting the hang of it or if the Lord was just blessing me, but either way, I have the best feeling of accomplishment!
All of the pictures were taken last night on the beach.

I used my embroidery machine to monogram Sheridan's initials on the front of her dress.

Yes, with each project the patterns do get easier. The more you do the better you become! And I love the monogram!
