Happy Thanksgiving

"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100:4-5

I have so much to be thankful for. I have been blessed with a really good life. My trials or struggles are not even worth mentioning compared to the difficulties many are going through. God has given me joy, fulfillment, contentment, and peace through Christ's finished work at the cross. I have a wonderful family and a cozy home. I have been blessed with good health and ample opportunities to pursue productivity. I have great hope for my future and so much excitement on the horizon. :)

We spend our Thanksgiving in fairly typical American fashion-- a lot of food, family, and football. We go to my grandparents' house to visit with extended family and enjoy a scrumptious feast. After the meal, the women sit around and talk while the men sit around and watch football. I tend to go back and forth between the two groups. :) While our Thanksgiving is probably very similar to most American families', I enjoy it and look forward to it very much! Hopefully I will be able to take some pictures and post them tomorrow night or Friday.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this— those He redeemed from the hand of the foe, those He gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." Psalm 107:1-9
